Important Announcement – COVID-19

Rochester residents

Sunday March 8 afternoon I was informed by the Ulster County Executive’s office there has been a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus in the Town of Rochester.

The person self diagnosed after returning from France this week. They contacted the Broadway Campus of the Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston and were met by representatives of the hospital outside. The person lives alone and they and another family member who has not tested positive at this time are in quarantine at home.

The County Health Department has interviewed the individual and will have further information as to any contact that might have occurred.

I will provide further information as I receive it from Ulster County Executive’s office and Health Department. Please see the link below to the County Executive press release from Sunday.
