Town Board Public Hearing #7 – July 2022

The Town of Rochester Town Board held a public hearing on proposed local law I-2022 :Non-Conforming Uses and Structures on July 27, 2022 at 6:25pm at the Harold Lipton Community Center, 15 Tobacco Road Accord, NY 12404.
PRESENT:
Councilman Michael Coleman Councilwoman Erin Enouen
Councilman Adam Paddock Supervisor Michael Baden
Town Clerk Kathleen Gundberg Town Attorney Marylou Christiana
ABSENT:
Councilwoman Charlotte Smiseth
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Robert Lesnow: asked what the difference between grandfathering or being allowed to continue non-conforming. I have horses and a barn on property adjoining and I see you cannot extend use on another property so would it go from conforming to non-conforming? If a non-conforming building gets damaged will someone be penalized in some way to timeline of repairs or hinder from one building to another?

Larry Dewitt: asked for a clarification on the red-line version of proposed laws are most accurate? And asked if Supervisor Baden would demonstrate how to locate the laws on the website.

Supervisor Baden stated that he would answer Mr. Lesnow’s questions and show a demonstration after the public hearing.

A Motion was made by Councilwoman Enouen to continue the public hearing with a date to be determined.
