Upcoming Events
• Heritage Day: Anne Mardiney from Wild Mountain Birds said she would do a presentation with live raptors. We will need funding.
Ongoing Projects:
• Pollinator Pathway updates: Judith

• Town Hall Pollinator Garden: The garden needs weeding. Who can volunteer? What are options moving forward?

• Veterans Memorial Garden, Veterans Park front area garden, Community Center Garden updates:

• Neonics Round table: James, John, Kurt
o We want to meet together with interested parties, especially the farming community for a conversation about broad-spectrum pesticides, which are being used in both organic and conventional agriculture. We want to initiate a dialogue about their use and share experiences and knowledge to achieve mutual goals within a safe space instead of one side criticizing the other.
o Any results from contacting possible interested parties?
o Reach out to a technical service provider like CCE Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program or NRCS. Also Ulster County Soil and Water.

• Plastic bag recycling update: Ann, John, Todd

• Third Thursday: September: Andrew Faust farming’s effect on the watershed
• Recruiting new ECC members: Town of Rochester Environmental Conservation Commission is seeking new members. We are planning and creating pollinator gardens, cleaning up the Rondout Creek, reducing plastic waste, and educating and inspiring the public to care for our planet and we need your help.
