MINUTES
YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING
January 25, 2017

The meeting started at 9:45 am.

Present: Sandy Chipman, Jessica Knapp (10 minutes late), Manuela Michailescu, Pam Stocking, Recreation Aides Rita Harkins and Ashley Sweeney, and Town Board Liaison Cindy Fornino.

The minutes of the October 19, 2016 meeting were reviewed. Pam Stocking made a motion to approve the minutes, Sandy Chipman seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously.

Rita Harkins and Ashley Sweeney presented verbally the Youth/Recreation Dept. Director’s Report; among the highlights:

• Valentine’s Day events on February 14 are made possible by generous food donations (invitation-only lunch for Town employees, Seniors’ Group, Youth Commission members at 11:30 am, kids party 3:00 — 5:30 pm)
• St. Patrick’s Day event takes place on March 17; new addition — we’d have music!
• Summer Program — prices and registration deadlines have changed:
— $110/week for Town of Rochester residents; they can register now; deposit is $25/wk. or $150 for all 7 weeks of the program
— $120/week for non-residents of the town; registration starts as of April 1
• No changes of the fees for the After School program (65-70 kids participate daily)

The meeting adjourned around 10:20 am.

Next meeting takes place on February 15, 2017, 9:30 am at the Community Center.
