TOWN BOARD DISCUSSIONS:

TRANSFER STATION BUILDING CONSTRUCTION:

The Board reviewed bid specifications Supervisor Baden put together for the building construction at the Transfer Station.
Councilwoman Haugen-Depuy asked if the old building is salvageable?
Supervisor Baden seemed to think the new building would be more cost effective.

COURTHOUSE ANNEX BUILDING UPDATE:

Chief Miller received a new quote for the completion of work in the amount of $ 8,995.00. However Chief Miller also thought there was a misunderstanding with the contractor and his quote. Once clarifications are made Chief Miller believes the quote will decrease. There is approximately $ 12,000.00 left to work with.

PLANNING BOARD VACANT POSITION:

Alonzo Grace submitted a resignation for his term which expires 12/31/21.

The Board held interviews previously this year for Planning Board vacancies and agreed not to re advertise and would choose from the interviewed candidates.

CELL TOWER LEASE PROPOSAL:

Supervisor Baden asked the Board members to review the current lease. Supervisor Baden stated that the Federal Government is in the process of changing rules and regulations, something to do with the 5G. Several months ago Tower Point reached out to the Town offering long term easement programs to buy the Town out of the current lease. This past week the Town received a letter from American Towers ( the current lease holders with the Town ) wanting to do the same thing. The Board was asked to review the paperwork and they can go from there if they are interested.
