All plastic bag recyclables must be inspected and collected by a volunteer attendant.
We only accept bags during the event hours.

Once we collect 500 lbs of qualifying plastics we will get a
park bench made out of recycled plastic bags!
Memorial Day ceremony and Parade
The Town of Rochester will hold a remembrance ceremony at 12:00 Noon at Veterans Park, Accord Town Hall on Monday May 29.
A parade will follow beginning at 1:00pm, hosted by the Accord Fire District. The parade route will be Town Hall to Scenic Road to Main Street Accord ending at the Firehouse. A ceremony will follow there to conclude Memorial Day ceremonies.

Ulster County Hazard Mitigation Plan
Ulster County is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). The HMP analyzes the hazards faced by the county and its municipalities and identifies a strategy for minimizing our vulnerability to these hazards. The HMP is designed to make our communities more resistant to losses from natural and man-made disasters, and to enable the County and municipalities to be eligible for federal funding for qualifying mitigation projects. There will be a public meeting to review the updated risk assessment. The meeting will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on May 17, 2023 at the Town of Rosendale Recreation/Community Center, 1055 Route 32, Rosendale, NY. All interested residents, businesses, and other stakeholders are invited to attend.
