• Heritage Day-Spectacular event! Thank you to all who helped pull it off; Deborah Martin for putting together the Quilt show, Manuela Michailescu for taking pictures of the day, Jessica Knapp for being DJ in the youth area and Pam Stocking for helping with both the quilt show and the pie contest.
• Exercise Classes-All classes (Tai Chi, “Keep it Movin”, Chair Yoga) are going really well. Rita’s class has become so popular that she will now be offering an earlier class as well on Tuesdays at 9:30am. Line Dancing is currently on a hiatus.
• Halloween-We will be running a youth Pumpkin Carving Class on Thursday, October 28th from 6pm-8pm in the Town Park. We will also be doing a Trick-or-Treat Drive Thru on Friday, October 29th from 5pm-7pm.
• Thanksgiving- We will do to-go meals again this year on Friday, November 19th from 11am-1pm.
• Holiday events-Tentative dates and ideas. Tree Lighting & visit with Santa Friday, December 10th at the Museum. Pancake breakfast to-go on Friday, December 17th from 9:30am-11:30am. I spoke to Sue Matson and she said she is fine with us doing two recipients for the award this year since none were chosen for 2020. Let’s look for nominations. Jess- Can you reach out to the life skills class in the High School and see if they can suggest a student who stands out in the community?
Group Discussion
• Deborah Martin wanted to make a suggestion for Heritage Day next year. More signage for the day of the event. Advertise for the quilt show and ECC in the back. Also, maybe in the future the quilt show could be its own event. Featuring all fiber arts. Pam Stocking suggested using some other type of container for pie contest tickets next year so they don’t blow off the table.
• On November 30th, Bethany is going to have a “wreath making class” pending approval from Supervisor Mike Baden.
Meeting Adjourned: 10:50am Pam Stocking makes motion, Deborah Martin seconds.
