The Town of Rochester Town Board held the public hearing on Proposed Local Law 9-2022: Override the Tax Cap for 2023 Budget at 7:51pm at the Harold Lipton Community Center, 15 Tobacco Road Accord, NY 12404.

Supervisor Baden opened the public hearing and explained the reason of the tax cap-over ride is due to the creation of the Special Districts for Ambulance service.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Martha Tardibuono: costs have risen, and expenditures have increases, equipment, licensing, and other requirements. Kerhonkson has 7 paid EMT’s 3 days a week 12-hour shifts and Marbletown is fully paid. The cost keeps rising and rising and insurance is paying less on claims.
Bea Haugen-Depuy: will the Commission be formed before or after?
Supervisor Baden stated that the Board of Commissioners for the Ambulance Districts would not be formed in the first year.
Troy Dunn: on a budgetary process where… Never take the answer of that’s the law. We can change those laws.
