The Town of Rochester Town Board, on appointment by the Highway Superintendent, recognizes the appointment of Alex Jente to the position of HMEO at a rate of pay of $27.01 per hour effective October 1, 2023, subject to authorization by the Ulster County Personnel Department of qualifications for the position.

AUTHORIZING THE TOWN SUPERVISOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT:

Discussion: Supervisor Baden stated that Attorney Christina reviewed the contract of the awarded grant we received from Ulster County but addressed concerns of the effective date. We are asking for a change in the effective date so we don’t lose 8 months of time.
Subject to confirmation of effective date and term of length the Town of Rochester Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to sign a contract between the County of Ulster, a municipal corporation and a county of the State of New York with principal offices at 244 Fair Street, Kingston, New York 12401, and the Town of Rochester, a municipal corporation with principal offices at 50 Scenic Road, Accord, NY 12404 for Municipal Parks and Recreation Subaward Agreement American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund in the amount not to exceed $100,000 for improvements to the Town Park with minimum of 100% matching funding from the Town from the Capital Projects Fund.

Discussion: The Board reviewed the quotes and based on scope of work ,material quality & gutter installation the board decided to go with Pataukunk NY LLC
The Town of Rochester Town Board accepts the quote from Pataukunk NY LLC in the amount of $ 29,950.00 for replacement of the Town Park pavilion roof, under the terms and conditions as specified in the “request for quote” posted on the Town website on September 14, 2023. The vendor shall provide proper insurance coverage information to the Town Supervisor prior to beginning work. Work to be completed on or before November 15, 2023. Contractor shall be responsible to remove all debris.
