NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Town Law, the Town of Rochester Town Board has scheduled a publichearing regarding proposed local law # 3-2021: Amending Chapter 140- Short-term Rentals for8/12/2021 at 6:30pm at the Harold Lipton Community Center, 15 Tobacco Rd Accord, NY12404
Public Comment may be made either in person or via written email or letter to the Town Clerk, received prior to 3:30pm August 12, 2021.

Recommended Resolution;
Whereas; The Town of Rochester Town Board desires to amend Chapter 140, Zoning to add a section addressing the operation of Short-Term Transient Rentals in the Town of Rochester, and
Whereas; A draft law of amendment was drafted by the Zoning Review Committee in 2017 and
Whereas, A public hearing was convened on August 3, 2017, and
Whereas, The Town Board submitted the draft law to the Ulster County Planning Board and TOR Planning Board for comment, and
Whereas, The Town Board created the Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Code Review Committee February 2020, and
Whereas, The Committee met and sent revised draft of Chapter 140 amendment concerning Short-Term Transient Rentals July 2020, and
Whereas; The Town Board considered such draft, made amendment to the local law, and convened a public hearing December 2020, and
Whereas, The Town Board submitted the draft law to the Ulster County Planning Board and TOR Planning Board for comment, and
Whereas, the Town Board received comments, made amendment to the draft law, and convened a public hearing May 2021, and
Whereas, Whereas, The Town Board submitted the draft law to the Ulster County Planning Board and TOR Planning Board for comment, and
Whereas, the Town Board received comments, made amendment to the draft law, and convened a public hearing August 2021, and
Whereas, the Town Board received comments and made amendment to the draft law.
Therefore; The Town Board, having duly heard comment from the public hereby adopts Local Law 3-2021 amending Chapter 140, Zoning, of the Code of the Town of Rochester, as presented and amended, and requests the Town Clerk send such adopted legislation to the New York Department of State for filing, and further
Directs and authorizes the Town Supervisor to work with the Code Enforcement Office to prepare an application form.
B. Budget Modifications
Recommended Resolution; The Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor, as Budget Officer, to amend the 2021 General Fund and 2021 Highway Fund budgets, as presented.
