To the residents of Rochester

Please be informed that beginning today and continuing until further
notice the Town of Rochester Transfer Station is only able to accept
bagged refuse and recyclables.
No loose, weighed by scale material can be accepted.

This is due to a dispute between the Town and the UCRRA over the UCRRA
contention the Town is accepting commercial refuse. The Town disputes
this claim. As a result, the UCRRA has removed their scale and trash
compactors from our facility.

In the meantime, any resident who has loose material to be disposed of
must take such to the UCRRA facility in New Paltz or Kingston.

The Town Board apologizes for these extreme measures taken by the UCRRA
and is working to resolve this problem as soon as is possible.1
