RESOLUTION FOR THE ACCORD FIRE DISTRICT
TO UTILIZE RESERVE FUNDS TO PURCHASE PIERCE FREIGHTLINER PUMPER
WHEREAS, The Accord Fire District has a capital reserve fund that allows for the purchasing of capital items such as vehicles;
WHEREAS, the board of fire commissioners has approved the purchase of a Pierce Freightliner Pumper in the amount of $739,900;
WHEREAS, the board has obtained a quote for the amount of $739,900 for the Pierce Freightliner Pumper;
WHEREAS, spending reserve monies requires the resolution to be subject to permissive referendum,
NOW THEREFORE, upon motion made, seconded and discussion held, and subject to permissive referendum, the Fire Commissioners of the Accord Fire District RESOLVE as follows:
1. The district hereby approves the use of reserve funds from the general-purpose capital reserve fund in the amount of $739,900, subject to permissive referendum;
2. No funds may be withdrawn until the passage of (30) days from the date of publication of the abstract of this resolution.
3. The fire district’s secretary is here by directed to place an abstract of the resolution in the news paper having general circulation in this district with in 10 days of the adoption of this resolution; and
4. The secretary is hereby directed to send the abstract of the resolution to the town clerk for the placement on the town’s signboard and website immediately, which must remain there for at least (15) days.
This resolution was approved by a majority of the commissioners, on the 8th day of January 2025.

ABSTRACT
By resolution dated January 8, 2025, of The Accord Fire District has approved a resolution, subject to permissive referendum, to purchase a pierce Freightliner Pumper in the amount of $739,900, utilizing funds from its general capital reserve fund. Any persons wishing to petition for a mandatory referendum must file a petition within (30) days of the date of this resolution with the secretary of the Accord Fire District.
