INVITATION FOR PROPOSAL
The Town of Rochester hereafter called (Town) is publicizing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals for SMOKE & FIRE ALARM, DESIGN, INSTALLATION, & MONITORING (Contractor). The Contractor shall provide the Services based on the services specified in the Request for Proposals document.
INTENTION of TOWN
The Town is seeking proposals from qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced companies to provide Smoke & Fire Alarm design, installation, and monitoring to support the Town’s needs. We encourage companies to submit the most comprehensive proposal possible offering the highest quality of service.
EXPECTATIONS OF CONTRACTOR
The Town of Rochester is seeking a fully designed, installed, and continuing monitoring services for a smoke and fire alarm system at 50 Scenic Road, Accord, NY 12404 for the Highway Garage and the Town Hall. The Highway Garage should utilize Rate of Rise sensors. The Town Hall should utilize Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors. All NYS Fire & Building Codes Must Be Adhered To. A non-collusion form (attached) must be signed by a representative of the contractor and returned with the proposal.
PROPOSAL DUE DATE
1 electronic media response to this RFP must be emailed to the below-named person at the above-named email address no later than 2:00pm Wednesday February 3, 2021. Proposals will be opened on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at 2:00pm.

CONTRACT TERMS
The term of the resulting contract shall be in effect for an Initial Term of two (2) years, commencing upon operation of the system. The successful bidder will be required to finalize contract signing within 45 days of notification of offer of contract. Completion of installation shall be no more than 60 days upon signature of contract, unless extended by mutual agreement.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
Commercial General Liability Insurance
$1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate.
Workers’ Compensation and N.Y.S. Disability
Statutory Workers’ Compensation, Employers’ Liability and N.Y.S. Disability Benefits Insurance for all employees.
Automobile liability
$1,000,000 per occurrence

The Town of Rochester currently maintains one location requiring services at 50 Scenic Road, Accord, NY 12404. The Highway Garage and Town Hall are abutting buildings, however there is no interconnection of each area.

COMPENSATION
The Contractor shall submit the pricing broken into 3 distinct and separate components.
1. Design
Please include all costs involved to the Town for the design of a complete and working system.
2. Installation
Please include all costs for a complete and working installation of the system.
3. Monitoring
Please include either a monthly or preferably a yearly fee for the monitoring of the system on a 24/7 basis.
