PUBLIC HEARING: CREATING DISTRICT FOR PROPOSED MARBLETOWN FIRST AID UNIT AMBULANCE DISTRICT:

PUBLIC COMMENT:

Joe Vitti: currently there are 2 volunteers on our squad. The goal is to have coverage 24/7. I commend the Town Board for helping make this happen.

Jerald Sider: recently had a health scare, I was just fine but knowing that there is someone in the building 24/7 to help him was comforting.

Charles Nerkos: We will catch up and will have the quality as other Towns.

I see the value of ambulance services and the Ambulance Improvement District for the
Alligerville Fire District. Creating a special tax district to fund the ambulance services of this
area to ensure ongoing funding for MRAU’s service to our area is vital.
Thank You,
Claire Wasserman

I’m writing in advance of tomorrow’s hearing regarding a new ambulance district for the town of Rochester. Living on Rock Hill Rd, the new ambulance service would be much closer and safer for me and my family, so I am fully in support of forming the tax district.
Christina Ferwerda

I support an Aid to Fund MFAU response to Rock Hill Road.
I am pleased that the Town is formalizing the AIDS throughout the hamlets.
Janet Sutter

I live with Multiple Sclerosis and my husband suffers from seizures,
so it is very important to us to have an ambulance improvement
district contracted with the Marbletown First Aid Unit. We need them
to continue to serve Rock Hill Road and nearby areas.
We live just 6½ minutes from MFAU, which in a crisis, can make all the
difference. The Kerhonkson unit is more than 14 minutes away.
I commend the Town Board for taking care of the health of Rochester
residents by creating these districts.
Please continue this excellent work.
Jerrie Gullick

We write in support of creating an ambulance district to formalize the service we now receive from the Marbletown First Aid Unit on Rock Hill Road.

In our 20+ years here, there have been several instances in which MFAU has responded quickly to our neighbors who were in need — far more quickly than an ambulance dispatched from Kerhonkson could have arrived.

We have long supported MFAU through voluntary contributions, but believe formalizing the service will provide stability to their life-saving service.

Thanks very much for your consideration.

I am writing in favor of the creation of a special ambulance district for the MFAU. As residents of Rock Hill Road, my family and neighbors would benefit from the faster response time this would allow.

Thank you
Erin Raffaldi Russell

Supervisor Baden stated that there is a process funding through ARPA and we are looking forward to partnering with you. This is an improvement district, by law that is why it is formed the way it is. Thank you for your comments tonight.
