Zoning Review Committee

March 18, 2016,

Absent: Jerry Davis, Brenda Striano

The Committee approved the March 4, 2016 minutes.

The committee reviewed the revised draft of §140-37, Solar Energy, and agreed to postpone the approval of a final draft until after the March 22 presentation on Zoning for Solar sponsored by the Ulster County Planning Board. Several members of the ZRC planned to attend and the group would then determine if the draft provision needed further work before being submitted to the Town Board.

The committee discussed possible revision to §140-19 regarding signage regulations for home occupations.

The committee began a discussion of regulation of short-term rental units and examined several examples of such provisions from other jurisdictions.

The next ZRC meeting is scheduled for April 1 at 1 pm in Town Hall.
