Town of Rochester Youth Commission Minutes August 12, 2018

Meeting start: 9:15am

Present: Jessica Knapp – Chair, Pam Stocking – Vice Chair, Sandy Chipman, Manuela Michailescu, Recreation/Youth Dept. Director Ashley Sweeney and Assistant Recreation Department Director Rita Harkins.

Minutes: No minutes at this time, working meeting only.

This meeting was intended to update and create evaluation forms to be used for the 2018 and future summer programs with the goal of continuing to improve our program. The youth commission and recreation department will review forms and work together to implement any improvements deemed necessary to keep our program current and running smoothly.

Ashley Sweeney, Rita Harkins, Jessica Knapp and Manuela Michailescu brought questions, ideas and sample templates for the outtake forms for counselors, participants and parents. The forms for counselors are program evaluation forms, counselor evaluation forms.

A discussion ensued about what questions we wanted included on the various forms.

There were minor changes made to the existing participant evaluation form.

Questions were updated and added to the parent evaluation form.

Rita Harkins was put in charge of developing the new forms.

Ashley Sweeney will present the developed forms at the next meeting.
