Minutes of Youth Commission  Meeting
August 12, 2015

 

The meeting started at 9:35am.

 

Present: Sandy Chipman, Sue Matson, Jessica Knapp,  Recreation Dept. Director – Carol Dennin, Assist. Director-Rita Harkins.

Absent: Manuela Michailescu , Pam Stocking, Cindy Fornino.

 

The minutes of May 21, 2015 meeting were reviewed.  Sandy Chipman made motion to approve the minutes and Jessica Knapp seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously.

 

Carol Dennin made a verbal directors report.

– Summer Program was successful and full. Next year the number will be limited to 36 children. If necessary due to high registration we will serve Rochester residents first.

Dyani Fitzpatrick will be MaryAnne Gates’ replacement for 2016.

 

-Sept. 19-Jennie Bell Pie Festival Talent Show-Registration form finalized.

Details discussed about sound system and other requirements.

 

– Oct.24 – Haunted Center and Hayride down mainstreet.

 

– Oct. 30 –Children’s Halloweeen Party to include outside activities.

 

Discussion about Youth networking and the positive qualities of attending. Will research any for the future.

 

Cleanliness of Community Center recognized.

 

Next Meeting: Tentatively  scheduled for Weds. Sept. 23 or Thurs. Sept 24. TBD
