II. RESOLUTIONS
Resolution #____ of 2018
Approving bid selection and contract agreement between the Town of Rochester and LAD Construction of the Hudson Valley, Inc.; and the Town of Rochester and RLJ Electric Corporation, relative to the Town of Rochester’s New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program, Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery Community Rehabilitation Project.

WHEREAS, the Town of Rochester released design plans and specifications for the abovementioned project and requested the submittal of sealed bids from interested contractors; and,

WHEREAS, sealed bids were requested to be delivered by interested respondents no later than 2:00 PM, October 6, 2017 to be opened and publicly read at the Town Hall of Rochester, located at 50 Scenic Road, Accord, NY; and,

WHEREAS, the Town of Rochester closed bidding at 2:00 PM, October 6, 2017, whereupon the bids received by the Town was publicly opened and read; and,

WHEREAS, LAD Construction of the Hudson Valley, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid for General Contracting, in the amount of $248,900.00; and,

WHEREAS, RLJ Electric Corporation submitted the lowest responsive bid for Electrical Services, in the amount of $145,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the bids submitted by LAD Construction of the Hudson Valley, Inc. and RLJ Electric Corporation have been reviewed by the project’s engineer of record and found to be responsive to the scope called for in the released plans and specifications.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of the Town of Rochester, acting as governing authority of said Town that, contingent on New York Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery approval, selects LAD Construction of the Hudson Valley, Inc. as the General Contractor and RLJ Electric Corporation as the Electrical Contractor for the improvements to be completed at the Harold Lipton Community Center.
