NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Town Law, the Town Board of the Town of Rochester, will hold a public hearing on Local Law 3-2021, Amending Chapter 132, Vehicles and Traffic to add amend No Parking areas in the Town of Rochester on June 3rd, 2021 commencing at 6:30PM via videoconference and teleconference, consistent with NYS Governor’s Executive Order 202.1 and successors addressing the COVID-19 virus.

A. Action on Minutes
Recommended Resolution: The Town Board accepts the minutes of the May 3, 2021 Special Meeting, May 6, 2021 Regular Meeting, May 13, 2021 Special Meeting 1, May 13 Special Meeting 2, and May 24, 2021 Special Meeting. The minutes of the May 26, 2021 Public Hearing, and May 26, 2021 Workshop meeting are tabled.

B. Acceptance of Donations
Recommended Resolution: The Town Board accepts donations of $100.00 from Pam and Charles Stocking and $250.00 from the Rondout Valley Federation of Teachers & School Related Professionals for the Summer Recreation Program.

C. Authorization to Work Additional Hours
Recommended Resolution; The Town Board authorizes Christina Ferrara to work an additional 5 hours per week to assist the Assessor until June 30, 2021 and to work “as needed hours” to take minutes for the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals in addition to normal work hours as 1st deputy clerk and will be compensated at the regular rate of pay.

D. Appointment of Employee
Recommended Resolution; The Town Board, upon recommendation and consent of Justice Elaine LaFlamme, appoints _________ to the position of Clerk to Justice LaFlamme at a rate of pay of $17.50 per hour for a regular work period of 28 hours per week plus any additional court session hours effective June 21, 2021.

E. Appointment of Seasonal Employees
Recommended Resolution; The Town Board, upon recommendation of the Recreation Director, appoints ____________ to the Seasonal position of Recreation Aide at a rate of pay of $16.60 per hour not to exceed 32 hours per week for the period of June 28, 2021 through August 21, 2021.

F. Authorizing Payment
Recommended Resolution; The Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to make payment of $500,00 for expenses payable to the O&W Rail Trail Coalition per the Municipal Cooperation Agreement entered into June 27, 2016

G. 2021-2023 Abrasive Sand Bid – Results
The Town Board requests the Town Clerk post advertisement seeking sealed bids for abrasive screened sand for winter road use. Specifications of bids are available at the Town Clerk Office and on www.townofrochester.ny.gov. Bids are due on or before Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 11:00am at the office of the Town of Rochester Clerk, PO Box 65 / 50 Scenic Road, Accord, New York 12404 where they will be opened and read aloud. A non-collusion form and certified testing results shall be included as a part of the bid package. The Town Board has the right to reject any and all bids.

Specifications
1. The sand shall be hard with 100% passing 3/8″ screen, not more than 15% passing #50 mesh and not more than 4% passing #200 mesh and must be readily usable in spreading equipment.
2. Certified testing results shall be submitted as a part of the bid package.
3. Bid prices shall be priced per ton; variations will not be accepted.
4. The bidder’s attention is called to the fact that if scales are not available at plant site, the bidder must state conversion factor-weight per cubic yard on bid conversion sheet.
5. Sand is to be made available for pickup by trucks designated by Town of Rochester authorized entities and operated by authorized personnel.
6. Bids shall be guaranteed valid for a period of 2 years from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.
