Monday, October 19, 2015 – 3:00 p.m.

Members Present: Alice Cross, Ward Mintz, Alice Schoonmaker.
Others present: Sherry Chachkin, liaison to Town Board; Carl Chipman, Supervisor, for specific topics of discussion.

Minutes – Minutes of meeting on September 11, 2015 were accepted as corrected with motion made by Ward Mintz, seconded by Alice Schoonmaker and passed.

Budget request for 2016 — $5000. Received and approved by Carl Chipman.
Current balance is $4298.08. Two bills are being submitted – for postage and for printing of extra copies of the June and September issues of The Accordian that were given to owners within the Alligerville Historic District.

Bronze plaques for Rochester veterans who are deceased or MIA – Names will be same as those on new memorial at County Office Building in Kingston. HP is asked to research and recommend design of plaques to be added to stones for each war that already are in place at TOR Veterans Park.

Alligerville Historic District Project –
Ward Mintz will get address for TOR webmaster from Sherry Chachkin in order to send Neil’s research report and photographs to the town website.

Alligerville Schoolhouse/Firehouse –
Nothing more can be done by HPC at this time, until Commissioners come to decision as to what to do with the Alligerville firehouse.

Accord Survey Project –
HPC proposes that the Survey (to be done by Neil Larson) become an aspect of the TOR Master Plan.
We have Neil’s Scope of Project application ready to go to Preserve NY at the next grant application period (spring of 2016). Could Neil begin his research now?

Other —
Open Space Inventory – questionnaire prepared by TOR Environmental Commission. Individual HPC members submitted answers after last meeting.
Alice S. contacted county legislator Lynn Archer regarding need for painting of Accord bridge and maintenance of the bridge sidewalks. Lynn will try to get these issues taken care of.
Debby Grey proposes planting new street trees along Main Street, Accord; she is working with County on this issue.
Historic Tourism in the Hudson Valley — “Path Through History; NYS Historic Assets”; project of Governor Cuomo.
In Ulster County, tours are already happening, sponsored by Friends of Historic Kingston, Saugerties, New Paltz Huguenot Street, Hurley, etc. Coordination of efforts, advertisement, etc. would be to advantage of all. Could include mention of Open Hours of D & H Canal Museum, Friends of Historic Rochester Museum, Palentown and Kripplebush Schoolhouse Museums, etc.
Kingston tours are on-line.
Bevier House Museum, UC Hist. Society could be helpful in this effort.
County Tourism Office already tries to do this coordination.

Liaison Report –No additional comments aside from those already given during discussions.
