PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
***********************************************************************************************

In order to help identify and protect the important natural, cultural and historical resources of the region, the Towns of Rochester and Wawarsing are developing an intermunicipal Natural Heritage and Open Space Plan.

From the July 2016 kickoff, the project will take approximately nine months and is being supported through a generous grant from the New York State DEC Hudson River Estuary Program.

A series of public meetings will be scheduled to present the project as well as to solicit input and recommendations from citizens of both communities. Regular monthly project meetings are open to the public, and interested and dedicated town members are invited to attend.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 7:00 a.m., to be held at the Town of Rochester offices, 50 Scenic Rd, Accord NY, 12404
